Witty Wanderer

Fox Lingo

Do you speak Fox?

You may have noticed Witty Wanderer has developed its own vocabulary. Nobody planned this.

Fox Den
Witty Wanderer HQ. Not an actual den. No fox is currently employed there, though several have been consulted informally.
Fox Footer
The bottom of the website. Home to the fine print, the copyright line, and, if you know where to look, one fox who occasionally hides things down there.
Bento Fox
A carefully assembled collection of provisions — snacks, tips, or otherwise-necessary walking supplies — arranged with more care than the situation strictly requires.
Fox Wild
A state of unreasonable enthusiasm, usually brought on by a good detour, a surprising alleyway, or a bench with an excellent view.
Foxtrack
A track chosen to soundtrack this part of the walk.
Fox Spotting
Keeping your eyes open for foxes — on signs, in windows, on shelves, occasionally judging your route choices from a front garden at 11pm.
For Fox Sake
An expression traditionally used when something has gone wrong. A missed turn. A closed café. A tour that insists on ending in the rain.
Fox acknowledged.

YOU FOUND THE FOX LINGO. There is no achievement for this. Probably. 🦊

More dialect may develop without warning.
