Witty Wanderer uses the email address you enter to subscribe you to Fox Fam and send your first newsletter with the Greenwich PDF welcome gift attached. Request records are stored on our website hosting and removed after expiry when new requests are processed, except where needed to maintain a confirmed subscription and its preferences link.

Fox Fam emails

Joining the clearly labelled Fox Fam form subscribes you to occasional walk news and ideas. We record your choice, the date and the wording version. No separate confirmation is required for new signups. Confirmed subscription records remain until you ask us to delete them. You can stop updates using the unsubscribe link in each newsletter or by contacting us.

Storage and email delivery

Records are stored in a protected database on our Strato website hosting. Newsletters and guide emails are sent through Google’s Gmail service. Those providers process information to operate the hosting and email services. Your address is not sold or used for unrelated marketing.

For abuse prevention, temporary rate limits use a salted hash of the requesting network address. The raw address is not added to your guide-request record. The signup and email-preferences pages use a necessary session cookie for form security, and does not load analytics or advertising scripts.

Earlier forms and field testing

The existing Fox Fam and field-testing forms store what you enter, your selected options and the date and version of your consent. Those records are used for the choices you make. Contact us to withdraw those choices or request deletion.
