A self-guided Battersea Power Station tour on foot
This is not an official guided tour inside Battersea Power Station. It is a self-paced walk that connects the restored turbine halls and industrial riverfront with the Thames, Battersea Park and Albert Bridge.
You choose when to start and how long to linger. The six-stop guide supplies the route, stories and small observation missions; the cafés, riverside pauses and park detours are yours.
Your kind of afternoon
A new side to the old power station.
Battersea is a neighbourhood that changed its mind. This self-guided walk starts at Battersea Power Station Underground station, moves from the old industrial riverfront to the new streets around it, and finishes in Battersea Park by the river, ending at Battersea Park station.
You get a short mission and a story at each of the six stops: compare two turbine halls, find one frame that holds old industry, new housing and moving water, and walk a quiet circuit around a pagoda. The PDF also includes a printable Walk Bingo card.
Out on the walk
What you'll do on the walk
Pick the angle where Electric Boulevard stops feeling like a straight line. Follow the power station’s second life down to the river, then find the old sign on Albert Bridge that told marching troops to break step. Do not march.
Fox spotting chance
Plenty of green and quiet ground. Dusk is your best bet.
