Your kind of afternoon

Take the long way into Chelsea’s story.

Blue scarves, corner pubs and streets with a football memory: Fulham has a story beyond the turnstiles. This independent walk follows Chelsea’s beginnings and the neighbourhood traditions around Stamford Bridge, with room to pause before the crowds sweep past.

Six discovery missions and football trivia cards give you reasons to look twice. Follow the guide on a lively matchday morning or choose a quieter afternoon, tick off your Walk Bingo and let the neighbourhood set the pace. You do not need a match ticket to enjoy the route.

Out on the walk

What you'll do on the walk

Start where the club began: in a pub, naturally. Take the long way through the neighbourhood and meet Stamford Bridge from the side most visitors miss, where matchday rituals and everyday life share the same pavement.
